Cross your fingers for these parodies to make the finals of the MTV Movie Spoof Contest!

Today,MTV will be announcing their top seven finalists for this year's MTV Movie Awards Spoof contest and then folks will get their chance to vote for the winner, who will get to go on TV and be handed a Golden Popcorn(I have to admit,I dig the Golden Popcorn award. Very appropriate and it would look cool on a mantelpiece,in my opinion).

While I haven't seen every potential nominee(most of which are available at sites like Funny or Die,MySpace and Dailymotion),I did get a look at a few that were rather amusing and should be included in the Final Seven. So,if any of these clips do wind up making the cut, please vote early and often as they say.

JEWNO

There are plenty of parodies on this unexpected Oscar nominee about a wisecracking gal with an unexpected pregnancy to deal with. This one doesn't go for the usual punchlines about teen pregnancy films,it looks like they had a decent budget and bonus points for having one of the actors from the original film reprising his role(J.K. Simmons, awesome!):

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN SOCK PUPPET SHOW

This is exactly what you think it is,a sock puppet version of the Oscar winning movie(yes, there are spoilers)that lovingly mocks the plot and characters. This is one of the funniest things I've seen since the Potter Puppet Pals and the SockTube Presents group has several other puppet show movie recaps available for viewing such as Michael Clayton,Juno,Atonement, and the first three Indiana Jones films. You gotta see it to believe it:

THERE WILL BE BLOOD SOCK PUPPET SHOW

This isn't one of the submitted nominees but since most of the TWBB parodies that have been entered all have Elmer Fudd themes that are so funny I forgot to laugh,I'm highlighting this one instead. Plenty of spoilers, but no milkshakes, alas!:

I AM PECOR

A mocking version of I Am Legend that turns out to be an elaborate prank that exceeds anything that Jim has done to Dwight on The Office. Now,that's being creative on a shoestring budget, there, buddy!:

SUPERBAD 2: THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

Harry Potter is a ripe target for movie mockery along with most of Judd Apatow's ouerve. What better way to kill two birds with one satirical stone than to mix those flicks together(plus,I can totally see Malfoy as McWizard)?:

ZOMBIED UP

Another jab at an Apatow hit film, only this time it's crossbreeding with the 28 Weeks Later crowd. Cute and creepy,in a sick sitcom way:

Well, good luck to all and best wishes to those who put their best foot forward here. Oh,and here's one more Sock Puppet movie for the road,10,000 B.C.(I love these guys!):
