Checking in on GOT's Stark sisters, a game changer for The Flash and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D have an unexpected reunion

Well, it turns out that the Sansa rumors are true for this season of Game of Thrones, as Littlefinger plans to marry her off to Ramsey Bolton. This doesn't happen in the books(*spoiler alert* he marries a girl who is supposed to be Arya but is actually a former Stark maidservent named Jeyne) but I can understand the need to compress these story lines together.

Still, it is hard to see Sansa walk into another marital trap, especially with someone whose taste for torment rivaled even Joffrey's. However, since Brienne of Tarth has also been worked into this sub plot(another change from the source material), we might get a nice bit of payback surprise out of all this.

Since G.R.R. Martin has signed off on these new developments, I am willing to trust the writers on this but they better not screw this up. It's not just The North who remembers, it's also the fans both old and new:

Meanwhile, Arya's training at the House of Black and White is going along true to form. Giving up her identity is a vital part of become one of the Faceless Men and with her name being the only true thing Arya has left in this world, that's a pretty tall order.

This is sort of her version of "the cruel tutelage of Pei Mei" that a certain Ms. Kiddo had to go through in order to become an assassin, so don't expect her to have a safe and sweet ride here. However, this is all going to pay off as she finally gets back on the road to revenge that she is destined to paint a bright blood red:

On The Flash, Barry and friends have a real sticky situation on their hands as proof of Harrison Wells' time travel origins were made tangible. Not to mention Barry finding out that a) he's destined to make a disappearance by April 25,2024(which happens to be my birthday!) and b) Iris will eventually become his wife.

All of that is put aside as getting a taped admission of guilt in the death of Nora Allen,in order to free Barry's dad from prison, is placed on the front burner. Yet, trying to get him to confess to the murder of Barry's mother was harder than they expected, as Wells was more than one step ahead of them all.

The only good thing that came out of that failed attempt was that now everyone is on the same page here. Wells, aka Ebord Thawne, has declared his true villainy and as we head down to the first season finale, things will get way more serious in consequence and that should be well worth waiting for:

An reunion of sorts was held for the original Coulson crew on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as a mission to rescue Deathlok and Lincoln from the clutches of Hydra was reluctantly approved by Gonzalez, the current head of the so-called "real Shield."

I'm sorry but that bunch just seems like more of a splinter group than the authentic Shield, with their self righteous attitude towards anyone formerly associated with Nick Fury. I know that in the comics, they become a group called "A.I.M." and perhaps that is where this sub plot will lead them but for now, they're more of a hindrance than a help.

I was happy to see Skye rejoin them, thanks to Raina's persuasive predictions(she is going to be so much trouble for the rest of the Inhumans, I can already see it). How long that will last, it's hard to say as the remainder of the season will be impacted by the new Avengers movie coming out this weekend. I sincerely hope that Nick Fury does drop in there to at least settle the question of who should be in charge-we'll see soon, I guess!:

RANDOM NOTES:

GOTHAM: The season one finale is due next week and it promises to be a big blowout, as The Penguin has gotten the main mobsters to turn against each other for an all out street war.

While this initial outing has had it's ups and downs(a lot of downs, to be honest), there are some great bits of story telling here worth pursuing and hopefully season two will be able to narrow that focus and give us the Batman and Rogues' Gallery that we deserve:
